About Usha PrajapatiSamoolam is a Sanskrit word means "Collective Roots" Samoolam is social enterprise started in 2009 at Gaya district of Bihar, India believes in individual’s power to make a difference in society. Samoolam is working in the field of livelihood development for women from informal workforce. At present more than 70 women are working with us under project ‘Prosperity- The livelihood initiative’. We train women with crochet crafts to help them earn their pride and self respect through economic independence. After one year of intensive skill building session they are able to craft beautiful handmade crochet jewelry and accessories.
