About Palestinian Bedouin AccessoriesThe Peace Center for Heritage provides Bedouin and other Palestinian women an opportunity to show and sell their handmade embroideries and other forms of Bedouin and Palestinian traditional art. The type of embroidery is cross-stitch and made by the women either in the center or in their homes. The handmade patterns are then integrated in a variety of products, clothing, bags, cushions and other commodities.
The Peace Center for Heritage is situated in the Palestinian desert town Al-Eizariya, next to the tomb of Saint Lazarus of Bethany. The center was started with the assistance of Bir Zeit University, implemented with the help of Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) and it is supervised by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
