Wood grain handmade silver stud earrings (E0169)

We created these earrings in 95%silver from a 2 mm thick silver piece, cut into 10x5 mm tiles and added the streaks that emulate the wood-grain pattern by chiseling with fast deep strikes of the narrow part of the straight-peen hammer. Our brand logo "Stories" was stamped on the back side of the earring. The posts and stoppers are in sterling silver. These studs are simple but unique, with a nice handmade touch to the basic geometric shape design.

All our silver products are hand crafted in 95-98% Silver by Thai Karen hill-tribe artisans. The Karen are a group of ethnic peoples who reside primarily in southern and southeastern Burma and in northern and north-eastern Thailand. Thai and Burmese hill tribes can be traced back to the 12th century when they are said to have originated from Tibet. With a higher silver content than sterling silver, Karen silver has a weight, bright satin color and feel, all of its own. Each products is handmade and individual as no two pieces can be recreated to be exactly the same.

The product comes in a traditional Thai packaging and includes tracking number for safer shipping.By purchasing this product, you contribute directly to maintain and support local arts and crafts in Thailand.
